Hybrid Invoicing - Recurring and One-Time Items

Hey Erin Olson, Erine Olson, Erin Olson (I wish I had three of me, might be able to catch-up on my To-Do list that way!)
Wondering if you might have an update to this functionality request?

Yeah, I just had to send a client back to back invoices because one was the final payment on his project before launch (one-time fee). And the other was his quarterly recurring care plan. That's a friction point for both the sender and receiver of the invoices.

I second this. I can see this being used often when clients migrate over and service providers would want to charge for work involved in the migration/project management of it. And clients would definitely prefer one bill. In addition, there are definitely times when clients need added one-time services that then could be easily added to their monthly or quarterly recurring bill.

Yep, you're right. It currently has to be sent in two invoices at the moment.
How often do you send out one-time and recurring to one client? Do most clients with recurring services such as Hosting usually have one-time services with you as well?

Erin Olson: I'd say my two most frequent invoicing situations are the following: 1.) Monthly Retainer for services and 2.) Monthly recurring charges (hosting, paid ads, etc.)
So, it wouldn't be uncommon that a monthly retainer customer might have something that gets added to their monthly costs, or perhaps went over their allotted time in their retainer and I'm billing for some additional time.
For those clients that just have some monthly services they're paying for and since they're not on a retainer per se, there may be random work or services I provide to them sporadically on request.

Erin Olson: Most months I pile up one-time services and when the monthly hosting invoice comes out those one-time services for that month are all on it. This is how it works with WHMCS, which is what I'd migrate from to GS if it could work this way.

Erin Olson: The feature request thread "allow recurring and one off on same invoice" appears to be the same as the current one we're in: https://wpengine-product.canny.io/growth-suite/p/allow-recurring-and-one-off-on-same-invoice
Can you merge them?
