Native way to delete old/unused fields from database via ACF user interface

As it is now, deleted ACF fields stay in the database, which can sum up on larger sites with a bunch of ACF fields.
It would be great and very helpful, if there was an EASY NATIVE way with ACF PRO plugin to being able to delete old or unused ACF fields right inside the plugin from the database, without the need to delete them manually from the database.
Besides the mess unused fields leave in the database - in some pagebuilders (e.g. Bricks), deleted ACF fields still stay in the pulldown selection choices when connecting content elements with ACF fields, which - again - messes up the pulldown-lists and makes editing and working with ACF fields quite hard sometimes.

This seems like an essential tool! I have a client site that has over 200 custom fields on a CPT. However maybe 20 are no longer used or were recreated with a new name. It gets hard to remember what is the new name and which is the old discontinued name when they both still show up in the database.

Yes please! Since ACF is very much a platform to experiment with to get the best results there are sometimes quite a lot of old entries to get rid of.

Thanks for the suggestion, on our roadmap 👍

Iain Poulson Great to hear, really happy about that. Will this be launched anytime soon or will it last longer?
Iain Poulson
Michael Pucher we don't have it slated for a release soon - but great to have it on this board so others can add their vote to it, and we can reprioritise as needed 👍
